Leading from a Distance
Developed by an experienced professional who leads a global training company, this program addresses common challenges of remote teams. Topics covered including key elements of a team kickoff, clarifying expectations when working remotely, using the appropriate technology for different leadership needs, and how to track performance when not face to face. Options include a customized experiential activity to demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in working with peers and others across distance. Customized case studies are also available.

Managing Remotely Webinar
This tactical, engaging webinar series on Leading Remote Teams provides instructions on how to overcome the inevitable communication problems of leading remote teams. Topics covered include: How to initiate a remote team; How to orient a new remote team member; how to set up and facilitate a periodic all-hands meeting; how to establish and maintain effective, on-going, communication among the manager, remote team members, peer organizations and clients; how to provide management support to remote employees on an ongoing basis; and how to help remote employees, working at home, overcome their sense of isolation.

The course is made up of three, 40 minute classes. These webinar classes focus on what to do and how to solve the unique problems of remote employees. Each class contains a minimum of five specific, actionable, items that participants can execute immediately; includes a handout containing the key action items covered; and provides opportunities for live Q & A with the facilitator.

Leading Virtual Teams
This highly interactive, hands-on workshop gives managers and leaders the tools they need to lead their remote/ virtual teams. This workshop is aimed at helping leaders lead direct reports when they are located in different locations (other cities or continents). Skills covered will include:

Communicating for Results - How to make “requests” that create promises / commitments / agreements; How to ask the right questions to get the kind of information / answers you need

Phone Power - Using phone calls and conference calls to produce results including call planning and preparation; effective conference call protocols and formats; measuring call success and value; who does what on the call- roles, responsibilities and functions.

How to Create Ownership and Responsibility when leading remotely - Accountability vs. Responsibility; holding people to account; having remote staff share ownership & responsibility; acknowledging success, building on failures

This workshop was designed and is led by Larry Liberty, PhD. Larry did his doctoral dissertation with NASA in the creation of a new technology for creating High Performance Teams who will live in the space station.

Technology for Leaders of Remote Teams
This unique program provides a pragmatic, hands-on experience of using technology to improve leadership of people at a distance.

Conducted via either a live hook-up to web or as webinars, this program shows leaders how to make better use of technology. In webinar format, people have time to use various tools and see which tools fit which kinds of leadership situations. Doing the webinar format also allows for easy global rollout.

The program developer and leader is not an IT professional; he is a trainer with 23 yrs experience as trainer & consultant including being the Training Director at MasterCard. He blends his facilitation skills with his knowledge of various technology tools.

Each class is customized based on the technology tools available to your organization. (i.e. i-project, Microsoft live meeting, webex, blackberry, etc).
