Lynne Cox
Lynne Cox is a bold risk-taker who has explored the far territories of human endurance. She is the world's most extraordinary long distance swimmer, and has repeatedly proved this in the coldest and most treacherous waterways of the world. Her natural exuberance and flair for the dramatic make her one of the most inspiring speakers to emerge in recent years.

Audiences cheer Lynne's heroic story and marvel at the vital lessons learned from it. Blessed with few of the standard tools of athletic prowess, Lynne has relied on gritty dedication and an indomitable spirit to accomplish feats that are nearly unimaginable.

At age 15, Lynne broke the men's and women's records for her 33 miles swim of the English Channel; at age 17, she shattered the men's record for swimming the Catalina Channel; she was the First woman to swim the Cook Strait in New Zealand, between the north and south islands; She was the first person to swim Skagerrak, between Norway and Sweden First person {note: forgive the frequent use of the term ?first? but there's no way around it} to swim the shark-infested waters around Cape of Good Hope, Africa; In 1987, she swam the Bering Strait, the channel that forms the boundary between Alaska and Siberia, opening the US-Soviet border for the first time in 48 years; First to swim the Strait of Magellan, reputedly the most treacherous 3 mile stretch of  water in the world; First person to swim Lake Titicaca (altitude: 12,500 feet) from Bolivia to Peru; In 2002, she was the first person to swim more than a mile in 32 degree water to the ice-bound shore of Antarctica, where she was greeted by a flock of penguins.

Her best-selling book, Swimming to Antarctica, appeared on many year-end lists, including Amazon's "Top Fifty Books of 2004" and Sports Illustrated Best Sports Books of 2004.

"If you use your heart and mind, you can push your body further then you ever thought and find something new that you didn't know before." - Lynne Cox

Farrah Gray
From public assistance to a million dollar net worth by the age of 14. At 6 years old he couldn't stand to watch his mother work 3 jobs. She was sick with heart problems. He knew he had to do something He started selling lotion door to door, which he repackaged from lotion he had in the house. He also sold painted rocks. At 7, he made a business card on a piece of cardboard that said ?21st Century CEO?. He didn't know what a CEO was, but he knew they made a lot of money. He introduced himself to people he saw wearing business suits, as a ?21st Century CEO?. One of those people advised him to start a business club with his friends. He did. By age 14 he sold his food business, Far Out Foods, for over $1 million. Now, at age 21, has an office on Wall Street, continues to invest in businesses, and has a not-for-profit-foundation that provides funds for summer and after-school literacy programs for inner-city youth.

Life is a Marathon: Run it to Win! Gary Null
Gary has won 440 straight races in his 25 years in track and field. I had the opportunity to visit Gary's home in Florida. In his fitness room are all the plaques, ribbons and certificates from the races he has run. It was amazing to see them all in one place. This year alone he won 9 championships in local, state, national and world competitions in his age group, including the gold for the 20K Team Championship at the World Games in San Sebastian, Spain.

When he speaks about his success, he talks about the basics: planning, preparing, visualizing success, making time for what is important, and pushing yourself past your preconceived limits. He says there is no magic, just hard work. That is what makes for achieving extraordinary results. Gary has shared these insights to train hundreds of people (some in their 60's and 70's), for free as a community service, to prepare for and complete the NYC marathon. He tells people "believe you can complete a marathon, whether you are 30 or 70, visualize yourself running the marathon, learn how to run a marathon, prepare for it, work out, and then you are ready and can do it." It all starts with the belief than you can do it. Let go of the belief that you don't have the time, energy or fitness level. Just believe it, see it prepare and do it.
